Dr. Koo earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. Although she originally considered a career in pharmacy, her path shifted after joining a dental mission trip to Indonesia during her second year of college. There, she witnessed firsthand how dentistry can relieve pain and restore health almost immediately, and she was inspired by the unique opportunity to combine science, artistry, and service to the community.
Her approach to patient care centers on comfort and communication. Dr. Koo strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel understood and at ease. She takes time to listen carefully, explain treatment options clearly, and work alongside patients to achieve healthier, more confident smiles.
Beyond her practice, Dr. Koo has participated in multiple dental mission trips to Indonesia, Peru, and Guatemala, serving patients in need and deepening her passion for using dentistry as a way to give back. She also spent the past four years volunteering as a Sunday School teacher for elementary students at her church, an experience that strengthened her ability to connect with children and families with patience and care.
In her free time, she enjoys baking, experimenting with new recipes, exploring local restaurants, and traveling.
